arp 91 (ngc 5953 & 54)

arp 91 is the last in the class spirals with large hsb companions on arms.  the atlas note says "broad pec[uliar] arm to comp., then absorption: faint extension from comp.".  i believe that ngc 5954 -- the member of the pair closest to the ne corner -- is the primary and that ngc 5954 is the companion.  but that is debatable.  the nearly edge-on spiral in the sw corner is ngc 5951.

this image was acquired with a borrowed mx916 camera so i got a larger field.  ngc 5951 would not have fallen within my mx716 field.
