arp 49 (ngc 5665)
arp 49 is the first of dr. arp's class spirals with small high surface
brightness (hsb) companions on arms. there are a couple of knots on the
east edge which
could be companions but it's hard to tell. i
don't find it really obvious on the atlas image, either. the note says
"appearance of wake from stellar object in e arm" and that does not help much.
the field size of the combined image was set by the starlightxpress mx716.
