Arp 294 (NGC 3786 & 88)
Arp 294 is the first member of the class Double Galaxies with Long Filaments.
The Atlas note is "peculiar filaments". The vertical galaxy is NGC 3788
and the nearly horizontal one is NGC 3786. The smaller galaxy near the SW
corner of the field is CGCG 157-7. The field is littered with tiny
galaxies. The tidal tail heading almost due N from NGC 3788 and the "hook'm
horns" pointing S from NGC 3786 are visible in all of the images but can be seen
best in the false color image.
