arp 22 (ngc 4027)


   10-inch newtonian, starlightxpress mx716, 21 minutes

   arp 22 is the first of the one-armed spirals group.  that morphology is obvious in the images.  this field is only a little larger than the atlas field so the triangle of fainter galaxies roughly 4' south of the primary would all be considered part of the arp.  the larger one at the west apex of the triangle is ngc 4027a.
